Pashli Mini Satchel | 3.1 Phillip Lim

There isn’t much history to be found on the internet about this bag, but let me tell you. I remember like it was yesterday when this bag debuted. It was 2011 and I had just wrapped up living in D.C. doing a semester for my graduate program at George Washington University in late 2011. I was walking around my Foggy Bottom adjacent neighborhood of Georgetown, when I walked past the window of Barney’s and thats when I saw the coolest bag I had ever seen! I went into Barney’s, tried on the Mini and the Medium, but the mini had my heart. I didn’t buy it that day, I couldn’t afford it as a recently post-grad college student, but that doesn’t matter, because I have it now!

Even after a decade after it’s launch, this bag remains a constant for the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection and continues to have a cult following. This bag created by Phillip Lim and Wen Zhou, has an iconic silhouette but we can tell that they designed the bag to actually be useful. The coolest part about this lavish yet fictional bag is that it is finished with side zip detailing - allowing the bag to expand when needed! This bag being expand and contract makes it perfect for me. I can take this bag to work, to the store, and traveling without needing to switch bags often!
